Pictures are the heart of this dictionary.
What do I mean when I say that pictures are the heart of this dictionary?
Based on my own experiences raising children and my reading, I know that children communicate even more through pictures. They understand the world around them through pictures. Fairy tales also work through pictures. The better and more effective a picture is, the better they understand what we want to tell them. Thus, we can also teach them through pictures without them feeling like it is a stressful learning process.
A similar motivation drove me when I created the PixiLearn picture dictionary. I wanted to teach my own children foreign languages through pictures, especially pictures that create a fairy-tale world for them. In this dictionary, the cheerful characters and smiling objects with personalities all strive for the same goal: to help children learn foreign languages unnoticed and in a playful way.

Do children accept the voices of their peers better?
The answer is yes! As a parent or someone interested in the topic, you have probably experienced that your child feels great when they are in the company of peers. We often say “The children are playing well together”. It’s no coincidence, the word of peers is sacred!
The PixiLearn Picture Dictionary I developed is based on this exact phenomenon. When a child of the same age reads the expression, it is more authentic than if a parent reads it. What is heard is more deeply embedded. This makes the whole language learning process more effective.
